WELLKIDS Program
The Infinity Wellness Foundation will apply its WELLKIDS program for youth and young adults ages 8 -13 and involving a varying student size. The classes will:
- Take place once to twice a week for a duration of 60 minutes
- Integrate TOTAL wellness across aerobic/cardio games, strength training, yoga, meditation, and stretching
- Intersperse 10-12 minute bouts of physical activity alternated with mini-educational lessons.
- Include weekly homework assignment
- Provide nutritious snacks
- Incorporate field trips to park and a local fitness club
- Include certificate with completion of program
Brief Program Overview & Rationale
- Apply non-traditional physical education approaches to increase physical activity
- Utilize TOTAL wellness concepts to enhance health and fitness across mind, body, and spirit
- Empower youth and young adults to make lifestyle changes modifying lack of physical activity and unhealthy eating patterns
Program Objectives
- Acquire knowledge of relationship between wellness and self-image, academic performance, higher energy, and better mood
- Model positive behaviors to overcome major obstacles to health lifestyles – willpower and stress
- Break traditional mold of competitive physical education programs with total wellness curriculum incorporating nutrition, cardiovascular and strength training, flexibility and mind/body (yoga and meditation)
Program Outcomes
- Acquire knowledge of relationships between physical fitness and positive self-image and body fitness, improved academic performance, higher energy, and strength levels
- Learn basics and importance of good nutrition and apply them to understanding nutrition labeling on packaged food, choosing healthier eating and snack options, and substituting water for sugary drinks
- Be inspired by positive adult role models to learn skills to achieve total wellness and increase physical activity

WELLTEACHER Program
The Infinity Wellness Foundation will develop a training program and workshop for teachers to:
- Support transitions in the classroom to channel student energy and
- Encourage movement in the classroom to enhance student learning.
The series will provide:
- 90-minute training program on classroom transitions and movement
- Step-by-step training on a series of movements for students to energize, focus, and calm
- A handbook of exercises for easy reference
- Follow up workshop 90-minute workshop on the application of movements in the classroom
- Certificate with completion of program

- Build skill and confidence for teachers to apply movement patterns in the classroom to enhance student learning
- Apply Mind/Body movements – yoga and meditation – to the classroom to increase memory, concentration, and motivation
- Utilize TOTAL wellness concepts to enhance the health and fitness of students

- Impart knowledge, practical skills, and self-confidence for teachers to lead movement patterns in the classroom
- Break traditional mold of physical education as outside the classroom with total wellness curriculum incorporating flexibility, stretching, and mind/body (i.e., yoga and meditation)
- Impart knowledge, practical skills, and self-confidence for students to apply to their lives at work and play
