Tanya Colucci, Founder (Ex-Officio)

Tanya L. ColucciM.S., NASM-CPT, CES, PES: Tanya earned her Master of Science degree from American University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. She has been in the fitness industry for more than 15 years.  She is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and IDEA. Tanya is one of eleven Master Instructors for the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), traveling around the country teaching the Optimum Performance Training Workshops.  Tanya has risen to become one of the top Personal Trainers in the United States. She is also a recognized fitness industry presenter, sharing her passion and knowledge at several industry events. Her experience ranges from Corporate Fitness, Commercial Fitness, Director of Personal Training, Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Performance Enhancement Specialist. Tanya is currently enrolled in Massage Therapy School at Potomac Massage Training Institute in Washington DC. She is immersed in learning the techniques of John F. Barnes in Myofascial Release, and has completed Myfascial Release I and Fascial Pelvis.  She plans on combining the work of Myofascial Release with Functional Movement patterns to allow clients to move freely without pain. Personally Tanya has been studying Meditation and various Yoga practices for the past three years and will pursue completing her first Yoga Teacher Certification by the end of 2011.  After a recent journey to India she hopes to bring Meditation and Yoga into everyones day-to-day life, making it easy and playful. Through Tanya’s own life experience of dealing with stress, back pain, and weight issues, she has taken her experience and knowledge and created a unique training system to help clients achieve their wellness and fitness goals which she calls their ‘lifestyle goals.’  “It is important to know how to deal with the stresses of life and still take care of your body, mind, and spirit.  Finding the balance among those three things will lead to a happy, well-balanced, in-sync person, full of love, passion, and motivation!” One of her new favorite quotes: “The ultimate creative act is that we recreate ourselves by letting go of old patterns and habits which limit our personality. Vice President: Jody Miller, MA, RCEP

Jody MillerJody established a medical fitness practice, Women’s Health & Support Services, in 1992 where she provides exercise assessment, prescription, supervision and training, and counseling and education. Her clinical experience spans the domains of cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic, orthopedic, neuromuscular and immunologic health. Jody received the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist credential in 2007. She is a current member of ACSM, the Clinical Exercise Physiology Association (CEPA) and IDEA Health and Fitness Association. In addition to working with clients, Jody is an international speaker, providing consultation and workshops on the topic of wellness and weight loss. Change Your Mind, Change Your Body: Emotional Wellness & Weight Loss is her trademarked program. She is an avid advocate for childhood wellness and fitness. In 2008, Jody created the Beverly Farms Elementary School Wellness Council in Montgomery County Maryland, with the mission of helping children make informed decisions regarding their personal nutrition and physical activity. Her efforts are driven by her hopes for a healthy life for her triplet 11-year-old sons.

Secretary/Treasurer: David Steinhardt

David SteinhardtDavid has twenty-five years experience in the start-up, transformation, and management of non-profit organizations. In 2008 he worked with the co-founders to guide the formation of the Infinity Wellness Foundation and currently serves as its Secretary/Treasurer. As a volunteer with the Foundation he is focused on business and organizational development and program design and delivery. David has a developed a passion for health and wellness through his own evolution working with a personal trainer, physical therapist, and massage therapist since 2006.  He has taken courses and workshops on a range of fitness and nutrition topics and is a CHEK Institute Holistic Lifestyle Coach. He has held the CEO position in a series of industry associations and is currently the President & CEO of the International Digital Enterprise Alliance and Digital Enterprise Education & Research Foundation. Earlier in his career, he co-founded the Institute for Strategic Management, specializing in political communications and organizational development working with corporate, government, non-profit, and political organizations and was on the start-up team in the late 1990’s for a dot-com company.  He began his professional career as a high school teacher in the Milwaukee School District. He earned his Master of Public Administration, with Honors, from The George Washington University and a BS in History and Education, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. David is recipient of numerous awards including the 2008 Good Scout presented by the Greater New York Councils of the Boy Scouts of America.

Michael Donovan, Ph.D.

Michael DonovanMichael, a fitness and wellness expert specializing in organization and community health promotion, works as the Director of Fitness and Wellness for the NIH Recreation and Welfare Association. After earning a Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of California, Davis and a Presidential Management Fellowship at NIH, he helped develop and lead the employee wellness and health promotion program for NIH. He has been working in the health and fitness field for over a decade as a nutritionist, fitness trainer, and physiologist and has presented his work on physiology and wellness at national and international conferences. As a competitive triathlete, professional soccer referee and overall fitness enthusiast, Michael consistently models a healthy, active lifestyle.

Joann Mirgon

Joann MigronUtilizing her 25 years of experience in the Education, Training and Human Resource areas, she focuses on the areas of organization assessment and design, training and development, the implementation and wellness programs, educational leadership and effectiveness, and helping schools identify programs to target and intervene with youth-at-risk. She currently works for the University System of Maryland in the area of Higher Education Planning for the Universities at Shady Grove. She was recently appointed to Governor Martin O’Malley’s Task for the Creation of a Center for School Safety. She lives in Montgomery County, Maryland, with Austin, Katie and Jordan, her middle school triplets.
